Using percussion instruments and movement, he will demonstrate the adaptation of these objects to musical concepts including rhythm and melody. Workshop attendees will be encouraged to bring or use objects provided, such as small percussive implements, drums and shakers. Together in small groups, the creation of musical composition will take place through exploring and controlling the sound possibilities of their instruments. This component will then work towards short performances as well as a full \u201cfound object orchestra\u201d. Group cooperation and listening will be emphasized as integral skills in this workshop.
